How long until I'm ready to take my test?

A review of Associates who passed their test last year suggested the average is 6 observed rides followed by a check ride before you are deemed test ready.

Your contribution to Observer expenses may need renewing if you exceed this sort of number, but there is no time constraint or pressure.  It is not a competition!

Can I change Observer mid way through?

Not everyone instantly gets on with everyone else, or can find the same spaces in their diary, and we try to have enough Observers to be able to match you with someone suited to your preferred approach.  Do not be embarrassed: just call our Observed Rides Co-Ordinator and he will do his best to assign someone else.  After all, we want you to enjoy your sessions.

In some cases we like to swap Observers around anyway, to get the most from the wide range of experience on offer.

More information?  E-mail any of our senior Observers.
